Faith development is a process that continues throughout our lifetime. We invite you to a variety of programs offered throughout the year: lectures, faith sharing, discussions, retreats and the Gifts of the Spirit Art Show.
John Walsh Library
In1991, during the renovation and expansion of the Parish Center, the John Walsh Library was formed to honor our founding pastor. We invite you to browse and borrow books, tapes and other items, and/or to join the Library Committee.
The committee, which meets approximately eight times a year, maintains the library. It also sponsors the John Walsh Library Forum, which presents speakers on current topics of interest, relevant to our faith.
Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) and Rite of Christian Initiation for Children (RCIC)
The RCIA is a process through which adults prepare to receive the sacraments of the Church. It is a reinstatement of a tradition of the early church, in which conversion to the Catholic faith is viewed not as an instant occurrence, but instead as a spiritual journey which takes place through distinct stages over time. Through the RCIA those of high school age or older who are considering membership in the Church are paired with members of the parish who act as sponsors, to welcome and support the incoming members. The process involves regular meetings that include educational presentations, discussion and prayer.
Those younger than high school age may participate in the RCIC, the Rite of Christian Initiation for Children. We welcome into the RCIA those who want to become a part of the Church, those who wish to know more about the Church, and those who would be willing to serve as sponsors or hosts during this process.
