Liturgical Ministries
Let Maura Slon (671-2100, ext. 26) know if you are interested in helping out with any of the following ministries.

Acolyte Ministry
Adults and young parishioners (3rd grade or older) are invited to serve at the altar. You will receive guidance and training and be able to serve at the Mass of your choice. Training is held regularly in September and as needed.

Art & Environment
Liturgical Art & Environment involves the creation, commissioning , and maintaining of seasonal and permanent furnishings and decorations for our worship space, church building, and grounds. Volunteers help create surroundings that support and enhance worship.

Eucharistic Ministry
Eucharistic Ministers assist in distributing Communion at Masses and bringing it to the sick and homebound when needed. Ministers go through a brief training session and then serve about once a month at the Mass of their choice.

Lectors & Commentators
The lectors and commentators at St. Paul’s serve the community by reading the greeting at the beginning of Mass, proclaiming the first and second scripture readings, and offering the prayers of general intercession. If you have a special love of scripture and are comfortable speaking before large groups, we invite you to become a lector or commentator. You will receive training and will be asked to serve about once a month.

Linens
This ministry is responsible for laundering the napkins, linens and towels used in the celebration of the Eucharist. Laundering is done in two week rotations; with the number of volunteers we now have, your may be assigned only once or twice each year.

Music Ministry
St. Paul’s Music Ministry welcomes all who are interested in sharing their musical gifts. There are many ways to get involved. Some of the current music groups are the Adult Choir Ensemble; Teen Music Ministry; Children's Choir; Cherub Choir; Cantors; and Advanced, Intermediate and Beginning Handbell Choirs. Instrumentalists, (especially guitarists, flutists, and cellists) are encouraged to join with one of our choirs to enhance our music. If you love to sing or play a musical instrument, please contact our music director.

Sacristans
Sacristans serve at weekend and daily Masses to prepare the altar and the gifts for liturgy. They arrive 20-30 minutes before Mass on their assigned days in order to set out the bread, wine, vessels, and linens used for Mass.
Individuals or families may serve as a team.

Ushers & Greeters
St. Paul’s has an active group of ushers and greeters who welcome people at the door as they arrive at Mass, assist them in finding seats, and coordinate the procession of gifts to the altar. Families or groups of friends may usher together on a rotating schedule.
