21-year-old Nidelson Murga is the single father of two children and lives in a municipality in El Salvador with high rates of violence. In the photograph he appears with Mateo, 5 years old.
Before the CRS Youthbuild program, Nidelson and his mother had many family problems that have now been overcome. He now has a job and says: “Today I understand my children’s need for me. Just like I didn’t have it for a long time because my dad was never with me and I didn’t want to repeat that pattern of not being with my children, “he says.
